Spotlight on 'History Today'!

This week, the Library team would like to highlight another of the great online resources available to Grey Coat students.

As upper school students may be aware, new copies of the periodical History Today are always on display at St Michael's Library but did you know that you can access a large backlog of their articles (old and new!) online?

History Today is a brilliant resource for students of all year groups and is of particular use to those studying for their GCSEs and A Levels.

As March is Women's History Month, we've highlighted a couple of fascinating articles here for you to check out and help you get to grips with accessing History Today via the Library App!

Sean L. Field, 'Holy Women and the Rise of Royal Power in France', History Today, Vol. 69, Issue 10 (October 2019).

Ellora Bennett, 'Women at war', History Today, Vol. 71, Issue 10 (October 2021).

Ella Sbaraini, 'In Praise of Older Women', History Today, Vol. 69, Issue 11 (November 2019).

Anna Field, 'On Her Own Terms: the Highway-woman', History Today, Vol. 65, Issue 2 (February 2015).

1. Follow the attached link here or search for 'library' in SharePoint. If you're using SharePoint, click on the 'Library Catalogue' icon as pictured bellow. 

2. Login using your school account or click 'Login via SSO'.

3. Search for your subject e.g. 'Women's History' in the search bar and then select 'one search'. 

 

4.This will bring up a range of online databases including History Today.

 

5. Select 'History Today' and enjoy access to thousands of high quality articles.
