This week, the Library team would like to draw your attention to another one of our brilliant online resources. Massolit is particularly useful for GCSE and A Level students and is full of short videos relevant to secondary school curriculums. These videos are often produced by lecturers at major universities and are a great way to revise or to learn more about specific topics from experts in their field.
Massolit is accessible via the Library App. You can also find this under 'The Grey Coat Hospital', 'Library' in SharePoint if you're working at home, or pinned to your desktop if you're using a school computer.
- Once you have found the Library App, you now need to login to access Massolit. To do so, click 'Guest' in the top right corner of the screen and select 'Login via SSO'.
- This will bring you to your account which will show you all of your current library loans.
- Using the 'Search' bar, type in the term you are looking for. This can be a specific topic or person like 'Jane Austen' or a subject like 'English Literature'.
- When you search this term, the Library App will then show you all the books we have in the library on this topic.
- To find the Massolit videos relating to your search you must select 'One Search' from the bar on the left side of the screen. You should then see 'Massolit' as one of the top options underneath this.
- To login to Massolit, follow the instructions that appear on screen: open the 'Connect with Provider' page, close this new tab and then select the second button which should say 'Search'.
- This will show you all the Massolit videos relating to your chosen topic.
